MNC JOBS INFO is actively seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver/Nanny to provide dedicated support and supervision for children and/or elderly family members in a private household setting. This role involves maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while ensuring the individuals well-being and comfort at all times. LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) support is available for eligible international candidates who are seeking employment opportunities in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care, supervision, and companionship to children or elderly family members.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary requirements.
Assist with daily personal hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Monitor health conditions and administer medication as prescribed.
Organize indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities.
Maintain cleanliness in living and play areas; perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to household safety protocols.
Report any changes in behavior or health condition to family members promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Post-secondary education in caregiving, healthcare, or child development is a plus).
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly preferred.
Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a caregiver or nanny role (formal or informal).
Experience in working with children, seniors, or individuals with special needs is considered an asset.
Working Hours:
Full-time position: 30 to 40 hours per week
Flexibility in scheduling is required, including evenings and occasional weekends, depending on family needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep understanding of caregiving best practices and child/elderly care principles.
Ability to multitask and adapt to different household environments.
Physically fit to perform caregiving duties, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
Cultural sensitivity and respect for family privacy and customs.
