The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has Outreach Health Services at Kisii, Kakamega, Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho, Kibuye-Kisumu, West End- Kisumu, Busia, Homa - Bay, Migori, Bomet, Eldoret, Kimilili, Nyamira and Kabarnet.
The Hospital is seeking to attract interested and qualified candidates for the following professional positions:
RADIOGRAPHER – (LOCUM)OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of effective, efficient, and quality radiography services in the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, process, undertake initial patient evaluation and provide diagnostic radiographs.
Timely archival of images in the hospital PACS, and retrieval and dispatch of validated radiology reports as per the departmental processes.
Ensure radiation safety measures and protection are observed to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety for • patients, staff, and self.
Ensure scheduled maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment are in place and followed.
Ensure accurate documentation and care of patients’ records.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority.
Member of professional body preferably SORK.
Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
